Open Day at SumDU

On November 2, Sumy State University invited 10th-11th grade students, vocational college students, their parents, and teachers to the Open Day. The traditional event for prospective students was held in the shelters of SumDU buildings. “Find your specialty, or it will find you” was the motto of this year’s Open Day.

Representatives of all faculties and institutes came to meet their future students. The event was rich in activities: each department prepared special locations for the guests. A team of student ambassadors helped participants navigate the layout and quickly find the areas of interest.

At the University Clinic — the location of the Educational and Research Medical Institute — participants had the opportunity to determine their blood type, assemble a skeleton, test their biology knowledge, measure blood pressure, attend quick courses on massage and kinesiotherapy, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, make a dental impression, and more.

For each activity, participants received tokens, which they could later exchange for prizes at the “SumDU Souvenir Shop.” In addition, prospective students and their parents had the opportunity to discuss the advantages and prospects of each specialty with representatives of the institutes/faculties — lecturers, and members of student government — and get a closer look at the profession they dream of mastering in the future.

We thank everyone involved in organizing the event and all who attended. We hope to see you soon within the walls of the Medical Institute.
