BRC (Biomedical Research Center) team has been granted the new EU Horizon Europe MSCA-SE Project “Electro-Conductive Polymeric 3D Scaffolds as Novel Strategies for Biomedical Applications” – ESCULAPE. This groundbreaking project aims to develop innovative solutions, from manufacturing to implementation strategies, utilizing MXenes, a new class of two-dimensional (2D) materials composed of transition metal carbides/carbonitrides.

Our team is proud to have assembled an exceptional group of academic and industrial partners from the EU and overseas. We are fortunate to have the leading MXenes producer, Materials Research Centre (Kyiv, Ukraine), on board. Additionally, we have partnered with esteemed institutions specializing in biomaterials, polymer science, nanotechnology, tissue engineering, microbiology, and medicine, including the University of Latvia (Latvia), Sumy State University (Ukraine), University of Eastern Finland (Finland), Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Poland), French National Institute of Health, Inserm (France), Vilnius University (Lithuania), Elektronikas Un Datorzinatnu Instituts (Latvia), BIOFABICS LDA (Portugal), RESPILON MEMBRANES S.R.O. (Czech Republic), and the University of Campinas (Brazil).

This project represents a significant step towards Ukraine’s development. Through new ideas, groundbreaking technologies, and research mobility, we will make our country stronger and work towards a better future!
